For about the past two years I had the advert for Peter's cognitive hypnotherapy at home but never had the courage to do anything about seeing him. Earlier this year I decided enough was enough and took action and called him up and went along to see him for a few sessions. My issues were that I felt insignificant in relation to others in general day to day life. Also, as if I was never as good as other people I was always putting myself down. Also I was very highly addicted to the demon substance chocolate. A bit like a chocolate addict I had to have it and no matter how hard I tried I just had to have it. After seeing Peter for a few sessions I walked into to see him one day and said I feel a lot better about myself and also I no longer had any urge to eat chocolate but strangely enough I had a new passion for pickled onions which before hand I didn't really like. Weird eh!!!!! The main thing I want to say is that if you have been thinking about having therapy with Peter for a while go for it. He is genuinely one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met (and no he didn't pay me to say this) Also he really knows what he is talking about and gets inside your head without you realising what is happening. I was quite cynical about whether hynotherapy would cure my travel sickness. Afterall this is something I've suffered with for 30 years, it induces very physical symptoms, and surely its just about my balance centre in my brain causing a nauseous feeling in my stomach. Well, that's what I thought, but Peter has completely proved me wrong! After feeling sick (and at times being sick) on cars, trains, planes and boats, on practically every journey that I undertake, I decided enough was enough. Despite my cynicism about hypnotherapy I came to the conclusion that I would just embrace it, because it was worth a try to try and solve the misery that travelling induces.
Peter was immediately re-assuring and made me feel very at ease on my initial consultation. His warm manner and genuine interest in your problem makes you feel very comfortable to be there. My initial thoughts after the first 2 sessions were "surely it can't be that easy" - but indeed it is. Peter has completely altered my day to day life. I no longer get in the car as a passenger dreading how far we have to travel, in fact I don't even think about the fact that I'm being a passenger anymore. I've actually used my mobile phone to send messages whilst being a passenger, and even turned my head around to talk to the person in the back seat without thinking twice (something I would never have contemplated previously as it would instantly have made me feel ill). And the weirdest thing is that I do it without thinking, and only afterwards think about how different that is.I'm so grateful to Peter for helping me to mend the part of my brain that had me completely convinced that I'm naturally travel sick. For any cynics out there I would advise you to open your mind and give it a try - its changed my life for sure!"

no doctor has been able to tell us why, or help him. Medication has made
him worse.
after his first induced trance with you, he felt great, his comment to me
was that for the first time in years, his head felt empty, no thoughts
running around. He seemed more confident in different ways. We have a
neighbour that was always asking him to go out on his boat with him, but
normally his response would be no thank you. BUT this time he very quickly
said YES and he was out in about 30 minutes.
He has not been so upset if anything goes wrong, where normally he would
loose his temper very easily if things would not go the way that he wanted.
Usually he has one or two seizures every fortnight, his last one was 10
April, which is nearly a month and a half. It has been fantastic.
Life is such an improvement, and I am sure that now things can only get
better.

Having had low confidence and thought very negatively about myself for years, I got to the age of 24, and had 2 months when everything seemed really hard, it was beginning to affect my relationship, in which I didn't even feel good enough to have my partner. I decided to do something about it. My aim was to feel more positive and confident. I found the courage to email Peter and went to see him for my initial consultation - even that day I was trying to find a way not to go, even though my heart was trying hard to get there. I felt completely at ease with Peter. After this first session, the areas we were discussing were giving me a better understanding into my personality.
I was only hypnotised once and it felt very emotional, but amazing afterwards. To think this thing that happened when I was about 6 years old could have affected me to such a degree. Obviously we couldn't change what had happened, but with Peter's help, we were able to change how I felt about it. After this, I said to Peter I felt a bit embarrassed as it seemed such a little thing, compared to what some people would have issues about. He disagreed and continued to make me feel that if it had affected me, then it was indeed very important.
Following this session, I worked with Peter again, this time we chatted for an hour, and he was able to make sense of a lot of my behaviour and discovered why I felt the way I did on certain issues. Talking to someone who had such a great knowledge, meant we were, once again, able to get to the bottom of another behaviour. This was such a valuable session.
I definitely feel more confident and positive about myself, I can only put this down to Peter's hypnotherapy, chats and understanding, which have given me a greater insight into mine and others behaviours.

After facing cancer twice over the last six years I decided that my belief
in the human body's ability to heal itself or at least control it's
reactions to certain problems, was a worthwhile ability to use, so I decided
to get some help.
Luckily for me we chose Peter. After all, he always started our mornings off
with a good laugh!
What quickly became obvious when I went for my first appointment, was that
he is far more than a witty and entertaining person - he truly cares about
his clients and has a deep understanding of the human mind and all its
strengths and weaknesses.
Within two meetings I had the necessary tools to try and keep my body well,
and decided to address a problem I'd had since childhood - my fear of
arguments. I have always been horribly scared if anyone in the family
argued, to the point where I would create situations to stop it happening; I
would go to extremes to prevent it. I'd assumed that it was generally
because my parents separated when I was five although I could never remember
them arguing.
Peter sorted that one out for me. He took me back to the first time and I
saw that when I'd been injured in an accident when I was nearly five, Mum
had blamed Dad and there was a dreadful argument, while I was bleeding from
a head wound - all a bit traumatic but now that I know, I can understand why
that argument happened.
I don't suppose I will ever enjoy seeing arguments, but Peter's gentle
leading through a remembered crisis is a priceless gift. I no longer
interfere, and they still don't argue!
I honestly believe that Peter Mac can help you through any problem. It might
not always be a light flicking on instantly, but at the very least he gives
you a torch to illuminate your path until you find the light switch, and
with his help you will find it.

"I contacted Peter after browsing his website late one night, after yet another night of not sleeping. Having spent nearly 3 years with my partner ill, then sadly passing away, I really put my "not sleeping" down toeverything associated with the illness and stress of coping with everything.
I was a bit dubious of what Peter could do for me, but went along with anopen mind. For sure, nothing could make things any worse! After a lengthy chat about everything and also stuff from way back Peter reckoned that I most probably had not slept properly since I was a child, and a scary moment as a child seems to have played a big part on my not sleeping. After seeing the link for Peter on Facebook, I plucked up the courage to contact him to see if he was able to help me with my weight problem - I had developed a Quaver and junk food habit and enough was enough! During our initial chat I felt so relaxed in his company and I knew then that he was the man to help me. I thought I was going to turn up and he would swing a watch in front of my eyes and tell me not to eat rubbish anymore but it wasn't like that - we chatted for a good hour and a half … he asked questions that I stumbled over some of the replies, wanting to say the right thing and not look silly but my heart took over and the answers came out fast and furious. With his gentle questions we established that my Quaver/crisp habit was quite likely to be connected to a childhood memory and I felt prepared for our next meeting.
13th September arrived and I was so nervous, but again Peter put me totally at ease (and no swinging watch in sight!) and I felt ready for this next stage. While I was in the chair with my eyes closed, I had so many images flashing through my mind and the experience made me cry but felt strangely calm too. Don't want to go into the full details, as I'd rather keep that between Peter and myself. But after more tears (and lots of laughter) I left him with a more confident step and feeling a little better about myself - more positive and an "I know I can do this attitude" because I knew, with his help, I could change my habit and become the person I wanted to be.
During the two weeks between appointments I found my eating habits changing and suddenly realised that I'd not had a bag of Quavers or crisps. That's quite an achievement for someone who could put away at least 4 bags in one day. But it wasn't just those - I had stopped snacking in-between meals and was eating more healthily and not necessarily clearing my plate each mealtime. Gone was the greed and in its place was a different attitude to my food.
Its hard to put into the correct words to describe my third appointment with Peter - but the only way to describe it is to say it was to "fix" my thoughts into this new eating regime I had developed.
I have every intention of following my "yellow brick road" and not veering off - if I can help it. Hopefully one day in the not too distant future I will look into the mirror and think I look lovely instead of looking and thinking "you'll do" and, more importantly, know that in my heart I do look lovely and that I am in control and if I ever feel "lost" I know that Peter is there to help me get back on the road again.
I would tell anyone who is considering seeing Peter to please go, even if you're unsure whether he can help you or not - a chat with him can make a dark cloud shift and make you realise that the cloud with the silver lining isn't very far away. I can honestly vouch for that. I feel I'm on the way to spotting my silver lined cloud!

'From the first session Peter's relaxed manner and clear explanations helped me realise that my problem was not unusual or strange. He taught me some helpful techniques to help me when I did have an anxiety attack, until we got to the root of the problem.
After the second session I had my first proper nights sleep in weeks and found that my behaviour was changing in small ways. When I first went to see Peter I'd been suffering from depression for a number of years (often having to take medication) and regularly had feelings of anxiety and so I hoped that that he would, in some way, be able to make my life seem "easier".
We had a number of sessions together - some quite tough with lots of tears but always with lots of support and often with laughter.
I never had a "eureka" moment when everything changed overnight but over time I found that gradually life was getting easier - things that had troubled me for years lost their significance and I felt that I could "let them go". I felt more comfortable in and with myself.
Depression often means that you're just wrapped up in yourself and you can't see the bigger picture - now I think I can (or at least I'm getting better at it...). I can take pleasure from many things now that I couldn't before
I can't pretend that I still don't have the odd difficult day (but doesn't everyone?) but now I understand better why that's the case and I feel that I cope better with them.
It's interesting that people who don't know that I've seen Peter often tell me how well I'm looking at the moment and I think that's because I am genuinely feeling better in myself and it's that that they are noticing.
It goes without saying that the sessions were always conducted in a very professional manner, at all times I felt "safe" - even when confronting difficult issues - and Peter was completely supportive.

I was a little apprehensive as to what "hypnotherapy" would entail, imagining not being in control when "under", like you see in the movies. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I still felt totally in control and very safe. Peter talked me through my issues (fear of heights/falling) and took me back to where it all began. In three sessions, I feel I have dealt with my fears but the odd thing is, rather than think about the problem then try to deal with it (previously unsuccessfully), it is no longer there for me to worry about. I realize now how much effort and energy I was using in fretting about an issue that was so easily resolved.

I would like to say a huge thank you to you for all your help in sorting my various problems.
I now have loads of confidence (where did that come from). I now go to parties and have held a small dinner party myself. I have recently purchased a new car and did all the haggling myself with complete confidence. All thanks to you.
As you will recall for more than ten years I have had a dreadful problem sleeping with a good reason. Since I had the aversion therapy with you I had the first full night's sleep for more than ten years. Thank you so much for that.
You may recall that I was eating far too much cheese and was extremely concerned about my cholesterol, again with your help I have not eaten cheese for some months now, in fact I went for a pasta with a friend and did not like it, I only ate about half. My friend checked the menu and found that it contained cheese!! Enough said.
Finally the 'tapping' is still working to help me to stop eating between meals, this works extremely well and I am pleased to tell you that I have lost ten pounds.
You have made such a difference to my life especially with the new found confidence, you will never know just how much this means to me.

I went to see Peter as my last ditch attempt to save my marriage (and probably my life) - i had been battiling most of my life with many "demons" usually all associated with drugs/drink which also went hand in hand with depression After my first meeting with Peter, I felt for the fist time ever I had "made peace" with myself - i was looking at life in a whole new way and now I just feel so happy to be living my life surronded by my loved ones. Whilst I was never sceptical about being hypnotised (in spite of several of my friends being quite concerned about the very notion of it), I wasn't sure whether hypnotherapy would be able to provide the solutions I was after overcoming two specific phobias (injections and travelling) and addressing an unrequited love issue that had beleaguered me throughout my entire adult life.
From the very first e-mail we exchanged to the last time we met, Peter's manner and attitude was at all times incredibly positive, encouraging, heart-warming and optimistic. You cannot help but warm to him, he is very engaging, and that is exactly what you need from somebody in whom you are looking to trust and confide. He takes a genuine interest in you and your problems, and you get a strong feeling that he wants to help you - at no point will you feel silly, or embarrassed to be discussing things with him.
The techniques Peter uses are totally non-invasive and at no time do you feel out of control, or as if you are being made to do anything you are not completely comfortable with. Cognitive Hypnotherapy isn't a case of focusing on gold watches as they swing back and forth, or staring into his eyes until you enter a trance; you won't black out, and you will remember everything both you and he said during your sessions together. All the sessions are driven by you, with him simply showing you how to tap into your sub-conscious, and guiding you through the process of achieving what you wish to achieve, so whether it's making peace with hurt you've experienced in the past, forgiving yourself or other people for things done to or by you, overcoming your fears (whatever they may be), attaining a general sense of self-belief and wellbeing or any number of other things, not only do his techniques work but they work consistently, and they work very, very well.
I am absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Peter, and truly believe my life is finally righted, and that I am about to embark upon a far better and brighter path for my own future.
My advice to anybody struggling with any of the issues I have mentioned (or many others check out his web-site) is that you should *seriously* look into Peter Mac and his cognitive hypnotherapy solutions, as they really do work. You won't come out the other side feeling like you've had your mind altered, merely that you've been helped to find your balance again (minus the emotional baggage you went in with), and you might learn a lot about yourself in the process. I genuinely do consider it to be the single best investment I have ever made, an investment in my own happiness.
